Here are the first official photos of the Ferrari 458 Challenge, fully decked out with all the proper racing stickers.
The Ferrari 458 Challenge is a non-street legal race version of the 458 Italia. The Challenge includes a modified F1 dual-clutch gearbox, an F1-Trac traction control system, a race suspension, an E-Diff electronic differential and high-performance Brembo CCM2 brakes.
Measures were also taken to lighten the car, as with the thinner body panels and the use of carbon fiber components.
The mid-rear mounted engine is a 4.5 liter (4497 cc) V8 churning out 570 PS (562 hp / 419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The 458 Challenge beats out the F430 Challenge on the Fiorano test track by a full 2 seconds – clocking a full lap in at 1 minute and 16.5 seconds.
