Jaguar has announced plans to introduce the limited edition XKR 75 at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Built to celebrate the company’s 75th anniversary, the £85,500 coupe features exclusive Stratus Grey paint, an aerodynamic body kit (with a front splitter, side sill extensions, a rear diffuser, and a larger rear spoiler), red brake calipers, a sport exhaust system, and 20-inch Vortex forged lightweight alloy wheels with a dark grey finish. Inside, the cabin boasts black leather upholstery (with ivory stitching), piano black trim, and an Alcantara headliner.

Power is provided by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 530 PS (390 kW / 523 hp) and 655 Nm (483 lb-ft) of torque – an increase of 20 PS (15 kW / 20 hp) and 30 Nm (20 lb-ft) over the standard XKR. It is connected to a beefier transmission, which allows the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h).

Besides the modified engine, Jaguar equipped the XKR 75 with a sportier suspension. It has a reduced ride height (lowered 15mm front / 10mm rear), higher spring rates (28% stiffer front / 32% stiffer rear), and a recalibrated Adaptive Dynamics damper control system.

According to Mike O’Driscoll, managing director of Jaguar, “The XKR 75 will provide owners with exclusivity, excitement and a hint of Jaguar’s great heritage. This is a fitting way to celebrate the sporting credentials of the XK marque in the 75th year of the Jaguar name.”

Production will be limited to 75 units and it will be available in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium and The Netherlands.
