The Jaguar XF  in the image will equip the UK force and is a high performance version based on the XF Diesel S model. The Jaguar XF  is powered by a 3.0-litre Diesel S engine that’s equipped with a parallel sequential turbocharger system and outputs 275PS. With this engine, the Jaguar XF  is able to get from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, while emitting 179g/km of CO2 with a fuel economy figure of 42mpg.

The Jaguar XF  is fitted with all the usuals including LED lights inside the front grille, on the side of the car, LED lights integrated in the rear light clusters and the complete range of electronics.

US pricing for the Jaguar XF and XK ranges has been announced by Jaguar North America. The 2010 XF sedan has a baseline price of $52,000 MSRP. An XF Premium will be offered with a minimum MSRP of $57,000. This car features Jaguar’s new 5.0-litre naturally aspirated engine and can be offered with the Portfolio Pack for an extra US$4,000. The Portfolio Pack is a luxury pack that gives buyers extras like actively ventilated heated and cooled front seats, contrast stitching on leather trim and a wider choice of veneers and trim colours.

Top of the line is the XFR boasting the 510hp supercharged 5.0-litre V8. The supercharged powerplant makes 23 percent more power than the previous 4.2-litre supercharged and gives out 12 percent more torque. It assists the XFR to accelerate from 0 – 60mph in just 4.7 seconds. The XFR plays in the same league as cars like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Cadillac CTS-V. The XFR will retail for $80,000 MSRP.

With the popularity growing for Jaguars XJ and XF, the once dated image has been shrugged off and a Jaguar is a good looking car to be seen in. In the States the XJ is looked upon as arguably a cut above the rest in the style category.

Well if the likes of Mercedes and BMW thought they had enough to worry about, CarPix has managed to grab some shots of the new for 2012 XF. Although clad in body deforming camouflage it is still possible to see that the XJ’s little brother has taken some styling tips from the best.

It feels like Jaguar‘s renaissance has only just begun, and here’s the sedan that started it all, already prepping for its own renaissance. The Jaguar XF, in line to be fitted with some tailoring taken from the XJ‘s handsome suit of sheetmetal, was caught again stretching its legs in the desert. The exterior changes won’t be radical, but expect a smattering of fascia work and some tweaking of lines and light clusters out back, along with some revised and refined interior elements.
