Lotus has today revealed the 2011 Lotus Evora S, a more highly-tuned version of the Evora. Joining the S spec will be the Evora IPS, fitted with an automatic transmission. The Lotus Evora with a six-speed manual transmission available in two versions, one with a little more aggressive than other transmissions. Adding an automatic transmission can be purists cringe, but given the designation, a GT car, it makes sense from our perspective.
The 2011 Evora S is a stepped up recreation because of its 350 PS 3.5L V6 engine, which is a much power difference compared to the standard Evora. It’s a progression of the series. Its transmission is a 6 speed manual with a Lotus-tuned hydraulically-assisted power steering; and the chassis is modular lightweight bonded aluminum structure. The 2011 Evora S’s maximum speed is at 172mph. Meaning, this beautiful sports car can run 4.6s per 0-60mph; and 4.8s per 0-100 km/h.
