Mini Motors unveiled its Roadster concept named, Mini Roadster in 2011. It is a sporty two-seater drop-top concept. The model were originally concept cars but with the interest and success from the show, they were set for production early in the piece.

The Mini Roadster is designed to fit a 1.6L twin-scroll turbocharged 4-cylinder developing 208 horsepower and a peak torque of 192 lb-ft. The Roadster, on the other hand, is designed to carry a 1.6L twin-scroll turbocharged 4-cylinder with 175-hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. The Roadster still retains the original hood and body lines of the original car, but the roof has been significantly chopped and streamlined. The Roadster, essentially a Coupe with a retractable soft top, ditches the back seats of the original Cooper thus turning it into one bitchin’ little drop top.
