Opel today unveiled the new Meriva prior, totally redesigned for 2011. The new Opel Meriva features a significant amount of space engineered to be packed in a compact and contemporary design. The new Opel Meriva has almost the same design cues as the Insignia and it has a sportier look than the previous version of this car.
The 2011 Opel Meriva will come with six turbocharged engine options which will be able to deliver a power ranging from 75 HP to 140 HP. These engines will come with a 15% improvement in fuel efficiency and will also have lower CO2 emissions which were reduced by 25g/km. The company is also planning to introduce an even more eco friendly version of the car which will be called ecoFLEX.
2011 Opel Meriva has created cool FlexDoors, modern rear-hinged rear doors which facilitate access to its cabin – a premiere for a volume manufacturer. The 2011 Opel Meriva’s flexibility trademark is improved with expressive exterior design and luxurious comfortable interior styling which carries forward Opel’s award-winning new sculptural design language. The car rear window graphic features a distinctive wave accentuating the rear-hinged FlexDoors, enhanced the view for rear seated passengers, mainly children.
