Skoda has designed a special edition of the Fabia RS, called the IRC Skoda Fabia S2000 RS Edition, a version that commemorates one hundred and ten years of racing success for the company.  The RS versions of the Fabia are popular with sporty drivers. Now the manufacturer is launching a limited edition of the Fabia RS,” stated that press release at the launch of the new model.

The Skoda Fabia RS Edition S2000 packs a 177-horsepower, 1.4-liter turbo four mated to a seven-speed DSG for a 7.3-second sprint to 62 and a 139 mph top end. What sets the S2000 edition apart, however, is the livery: rally green paint, white roof, white wheels, and decals inspired by the competition version that claimed the title with Juho Hänninen behind the wheel. Only 200 examples of the special edition hatch will be offered, and you can read more about it in the press release after the jump.

The Skoda Fabia S2000 which includes green, a white roof, white alloy wheels and stickers in S2000 colours. The technical specs are not different than the regular Fabia RS, which means it comes with 1.4 liter four-cylinder engine with double charging developing 132 kW. The car also features XDS, a system that electronically brakes the inside front wheel as the car corners in order to increase torque on the outside front wheel for a high level of agility in bends.

The model that borrows multiple design cues from its rallying cousin, sporting the same strong green color, as well as many white stripes on the roof, alloy wheels and stickers: “On the occasion of 110 years of motorsport efforts at Skoda Auto and to celebrate the International Rally Championship title won with its Fabia S2000, Skoda Auto presents a limited edition of the Fabia RS – altogether 200 vehicles in the colours of the championship-winning Fabia S2000. The car is green (Rally Green), with a white roof, white alloy wheels and stickers in S2000 colours,” the press release described the car.
