Mini designed their crossover version named 2011 Cooper Countryman. It is MINI’s first crossover utility vehicle, intended to attract upscale customers who appreciate the signature MINI look but need more practicality. It can be seat up to five and offers plenty of cargo capacity. The car will be offered a plethora of high-tech features typically only found in high-end luxury vehicles.

The 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman is the reborn brand’s first four-door vehicle, riding on unique architecture. The 102.2-inch wheelbase is 5.1 inches longer than the hardtop’s. Overall length is up by 14.7 inches versus the hardtop and 5.5 inches compared to the Clubman. The Countryman is also four inches wider than those vehicles, sits six inches higher than the hardtop, and has 1.2 inches more ground clearance, creating what Mini calls a “semi-command” seating position.

The base 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine puts out only 120 horsepower and takes an agonizing 10.5 seconds to make it to 60 mph. Handling and acceleration will undoubtedly be superior in the turbocharged version of the four-cylinder with a more respectable 184 horsepower. The sport-tuned suspension option should offer a fun ride and responsive driving dynamics. The engines come with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The 2011 Countryman seats five as long as buyers order the three-place bench seat at no additional cost. Otherwise, the backseat consists of two bucket seats. Both the bench and bucket seats slide fore and aft and recline. It offers 15.4 cubic feet of space, which is adequate but not abundant. With the rear seats folded down, drivers will get a whopping 41 cubic feet of cargo space.

The all new  2011 MINI Cooper Countryman will be released & launched by January 2011. The MINI Cooper SUV will be become a imagination come true. MINI’s first crossover utility vehicle – The MINI Cooper Countryman is aimed at the upper class people and the car is priced too much when compared to other large cars.
