BMW introduce its next generation series named 2011 M3, lighter, more economical and environmentally friendly. It is a luxury sports car available in the coupe and the roadster trims. Both are the best high performance cars in the market.

Both of M3 trims are equipped with a standard 3.2-liter, I6, 315-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard. the new design will end the criticism that the M3 styling is clumsy and lacks interior room. The front end sports two air-intakes on each side of the bumper, beneath the headlights, mounted next to a kidney-shaped grille.

New M3 series would be designed to accommodate electrified steering and even brakes, as well as low-energy lighting, the more-powerful batteries and motors being developed for future hybrid-drive systems, and the increasing need for more onboard computing power to coordinate all these systems and run new infotainment features. BMW is developing a low-energy climate-control system that will keep the cabin constantly dehumidified by reclaiming heat from the engine exhaust. This could eliminate the need for a weighty air-conditioning condenser and power-sapping engine-driven A/C compressor.

Standard safety features will include front seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes, traction control and stability control. On the convertible, the regular front side airbags extend to head level.
