2011 Volvo C30 is another perfect car from Volvo, and it receive good ratings overall. It has new, sportier styling and a sport chassis. This sporty four-seater combines an exciting drive with Volvo’s customary safety features. It is one of the best value for money car in the category of small upscale cars.

New Volvo C30 is a 2-door, 4-passenger sports coupe, available in two trims, the T5 and the T5 R-Design. Both trims are equipped with a standard 2.5-liter, I5, 227-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 21-mpg in the city and 29-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 5-speed automatic transmission is optional.

The standard features of the Volvo C30 T5 include 2.5L I-5 227HP engine intercooled turbo, 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, SIPS side seat mounted airbags, curtain 1st and 2nd row overhead airbags, airbag occupancy sensor, air conditioning, 17″ alloy wheels, cruise control, ABS and driveline traction control, and a DSTC stability control. All-new front end styling with new trapezoidal headlights, fenders, revised fascia and new honeycomb grille with a larger Volvo iron mark logo.

The C30 is Volvo’s first hatchback vehicle since the 480 of the 1980s, which followed the P1800 ES of the 1970s. The C30 was first introduced for the 2007 model year, following the successful unveiling of a concept by the same name in early 2006.

Now for 2010 onward, the C30 gains a redesigned front-end as well as more standard features. The list includes standard Bluetooth hands-free phone interface, leather gearshift knob with aluminum inlay, leather parking brake cover, trip computer and cruise control.

Volvo’s unique implementation of a 5-cylinder engine will return 21 city, 30 highway with the automatic — and suffer a single digit drop to 29 highway for the manual edition for either the T5 or T5 R-design models.
