Land Rover Defender is credited with being the oldest car in the world. It has seen rough and tough days in the past. To prevent it from aging and finally dying out, the sturdy car from Britain has been given a facelift from time to time, and lately has been totally modernized.

Its 90 Yachting Edition has once again got a ‘make-over’. This time it is done by Startech, an affiliate of Brabus, a German aftermarket tuning firm. The Edition was presented at the Motor Show in Essen, Germany, last year.

The exterior of the SUV hones a brilliant white color and runs on alloy wheels of 16-inch rim wrapped with wide tires of measurements 267/75 R16 which means they are widened by 3cm as compared to its previous model. New entrance lights are integrated into the model, with new running boards. The entrance lights light up by opening any one of the doors or by a keyless fob. Now there is the SVX grille and headlight covers painted white like the body. The trunk and the foot wells are equipped with teak wood.

The interior has been made very impressive and comfortable for utmost luxury. Fine navy blue leather with white seams decorates the dashboard, Recaro sport seats, the side panels and the door. The cross stitch style of stitching (like that for a baseball) makes it rather an unusual style adding modernity to the classic model. The floor is made of wood flooring with oiled teak, very much like that of a yacht and therefore the name! The sport steering wheel, emergency brake, reduction lever and the shifter are all ergonomically designed and covered with the navy-blue leather. Alcantara material, used to make the headliner, is dyed navy-blue matching the rest of the interior.

Further modern additions to the car include touch-screen navigation system, high-end sound system.
