Rare instances when we hear of an electric car stepping down on the dreadful Nurburgring-Nordschleife track. Nurburgring-Nordschleife is supposed to be a proving ground for all the aspiring performing cars. The Peugeot EX1 electric car, which has already broken half a dozen speed records, has added another achievement in its kitty. The EX1 broke a record by performing fantastically in THE actual NURBURGRING-NORDSCHLEIFE where cars fear to enter. The EX1 is a 340-horsepower EV with an eccentric narrower-in-the-rear track layout, high-tech materials, and a spectacular design.

It was a pleasurable ride. While Driver St├ęphane Caillet was completing the laps with speed of 20.8-kilometer long track in just 9 minutes and 1.338seconds, at an average speed of 138,324 km/h (85.95 mph. Even though the weather conditions were unfavourable, Calliet managed to grab the achievement. The previous lap was bagged by an electronic car belonging to Mini E racer, which set a record the previous year in 9 minutes and 51.45 seconds.

The French archetype electric car is the fastest and the most modish on the track. The revolutionary looking electric car is light in weight, offering state of the arts technology. Also featuring a double wishbone front and a rear suspension, this one is hard to miss. The monologue body structure is made of a carbon/honeycomb amalgamated to enhance weight and firmness.

The Peugeot EX1 had bagged the title of the fastest racing car and is sleek, light weight and strikingly beautiful when on the track.

For the first time in EX1′s history, Peugeot managed to bag a world record at the Nurburgring race track. St├ęphane Caillet, director at Peugeot Citroen, whipped around the 20.832 km circuit driving an EX1 concept car and ended up breaking the speed record for electric cars by over 50 second. It was a beautiful sight. And so, we have a new record breaker!
