Another race car would be launched by Ashton Martin. By the looks of things it would be the natural successor to the DBRS9. The successor has been named 2012 Vantage GT3.

It is powered by a 6.0L of v12 engine, which was first found in the production version of the vantage. The expectations for the 2012 Ashton Martin Vantage GT3 is at no less than 600 HP and 700 Nm of torque.

This power would be sent to the wheels by the Xtrac 6 speed sequential gearbox and it also has semi-automatic paddle shifters.

This new version of the race car has a lot of modifications to its credit. It has improved aerodynamics. This was achieved by attachment of a massive rear wing and various other motorsport specified elements. The car also has a chassis that used aerospace bonding techniques.

If you compare this model to its predecessor, you would find that this car has a much shorter wheelbase. In fact, the engine is placed lower than the other model. This of course improves the handling and the performance of the car.

The first deliveries of this car will not start till early 2012. So we have ample time before the producers finally launch the car, and can save up for it, because, we are told that the price of the car starts from 298,000 GBP.

However, the car has not yet been fully tested to its true potentials. The tests would begin in October, and we are all keeping our fingers crossed hoping it would run smoothly.

One of the tests would involve seeing whether this car has 10,000 Km durability. Fans of Ashton Martin must be already praying for the safe tests for the car.

We know exactly how much the car lovers want to see this new version out in the market and running successfully. Here’s hoping it all goes well.
