Originally a concept car shown in Geneva, the 2013 Audi A8 Hybrid has made its mark in the German market this year. Previously we had been told that the car would be found in the market from the year 2012. The car would be officially launched in the IAA in Frankurt next month.

The car was to be modeled on a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine rated at 211 HP (151 kW) and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb-ft) and a disc shaped electric motor developing 54 HP (40 kW) and 210 Nm (154 lb-ft) of torque.

But thanks to its hybrid system, this car has 245 HP and 480 Nm. This would roughly mean 7.7 seconds when it accelerates from 0 to 100 Km/h. The Audi has a top speed of 146 mph.

This model is different from the other model because the turbine rotor style and 18 inch alloys. It also sports very special badges and has a arctic silver color, which was not the color for the previous model.

The efficiency figure tells us that the Audi A8 can cover up to 1oo km on less than 6.4L of fuel.

This sedan can cover up to three kilometers on electric power alone, and has a speed of maximum 100 km/hr.

The Audi car has had many a concept coming into the market starting from back in 1996 and goes on well into this decade. The main site lists all the concept cars on which the future Audis would be based on.

Germany is one lucky country to have this sedan get launched here. Car enthusiasts must be eagerly waiting for the next month, in order finally get their hands on this much awaited car.
