Alfa Romeo cars have always been known for their effervescent style. The flare associated with the marketing of this particular brand in a way reflects the image of the car as a style icon.

The first Alfa Romeo car had debuted in the 81st Geneva International motor show, in March 2011.

If the 8C car of the Alfa Romeo series is not counted, then the 4C would be first car that would be re-entering the US market in 2012. However, rumor has it that the latest version would not come to the market until 2013.

This time the Italian car manufacturers are trying to build up the excitement to the Frankfurt motor show by revealing a small trailer of things to come with their upcoming 4C model.

The new 4C model metamorphoses from its original rusty red from Geneva to Fluid Metal i.e. a silver color.

A 1.8L turbocharged unit that produces 197bhp would provide the power for the two seats and mid-engine 4C coupe.

Even though this car was developed by Alfa Romeo alone, the methods applied in its making were the same as KTM X-Bow and Lotus Elise.

The Alfa Romeo sports car is said to weigh 850 kg, i.e. 1870lbs. the weight of the car comes from being built out of carbon fiber and the use of aluminum.

Because of its lightweight build this little car can have a top speed of 250 km/h. Under five seconds, the car can cover from 0 to 100km/h.

For car experts, it seems impossible for the Alpha Romeo coupe to weigh 850 kg, when it finally appears in the market.

Since the car will not be launched in the market till 2013, only time can tell the difference between what the concepts shows us and what would actually be brought to the market.
