The rumors about and from the Frankfurt Motor Show continue to flood in. With every company promising to bring a wonderful new addition to the car population across the world, the latest to join the tradition is the Kia GT sports saloon concept.

The Kia Motors is the second largest automobile manufacturer from South Korea, and it has its headquarters in Seoul. The first is of course the Hyundai Motor Company.

Kia is in fact partly owned by the Hyundai Motor Groups. The company reached an average sale of 1.4million last year.

The company’sname Kia has been derived from Korean words which mean, “to arise from theworld from Asia.”

The internet has already been flooded with its pictures, and car lovers have been vying to get more information about the South Korean made car. But there was hardly any information to be had – until now.

The makers had long since told the world that the car had a very traditional layout, with the engine being mounted up front and power getting delivered to the rear wheels. Themotor which was under the hood, was never spoken about. But now we are a little wiser than before.

Under the hoodlies a 3.3L turbocharged V6 engine that can deliver almost under 400 horsepowerand close to 400 lb-ft of torque. The power is channeled to the rear wheels with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This V6 engine is what is keeping the concept car motivated. Fans of  Kia must have been delighted to find out about their latest concept.

They would perhaps be even more overjoyed to learn that this particular concept is provingto be the inspiration for their new model, which is promised to be one stephigher than the old one. The base of the new model would, however, remain the same.
