This is in the array of tiny winy car segment VW Group has introduced their single seater electric car concept. They have released their idea in the Frankfurt Auto Show. Today the team Volkswagen launched the all new Nils concept which is a little single seater electric car specially designed for urban environment.

Renowned automaker, Audi and Volkswagen are coming up with tiny cars in this season. First it was Audi to announce its two – seater Urban Sportback and Spyder studies, and today Volkswagen also announced their plan of coming up with the single searter concept and it will be a fully electric vehicle.

The size of this tiny car will be 3.04 meters ( 119.6-in) long, 1.39 metres (54.7-in) wide and about 1.20 metres (47.2-in) height. Therefore this will be even 0.5 metres short in size from the new Volkswagen UP.

Manufacturing detail : extremely light aluminum frames have been used for the body structure. Thus making it about just 460kg or 1,014 pound in weight. The car will run on electric force and not on diesel or petrol. The electric motor placed behind the driver’s seat will produce 20Hp (15kw) and 130 NM(95.9 lb-ft), and a brief thrust of just 33.5 HP(25kw). This is continuously produced by the electric motor, thus will help the car in proper movement.

According to the automaker, the all new Nils can run from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in less than 11 seconds and attain a high speed of 130km/h (81mph). The 17inch alloy wheels help the concept to run comfortably through the city roads.

The battery used is the lithium-ion based and has the capacity of supporting 5.3 KWH, which is just adequate energy to cross a distance of some 65 kilometres or 40 miles by driving.
