Mahindra and Mahindra is supposed to be the next upcoming player in the two wheeler category after the Honda and Suzuki. Mahindra and Mahindra is emerging specially in the scooter segment. It has been long since Mahindra was planning to introduce an improved and a much better Mahindra Duro and recently the same has been unveiled without much attention from the media.

They were concerned about the performance as well as the quality of the two wheeler and as such were busy improving them. Their hardship resulted to the new Mahindra Duro 125 DX. In contrast to the earlier model the new one looks complete in all aspects including its new decals, good quality paint and good body work. Regarding the overall built quality is concerned; the body of new model looks neat and tidy with no gaps or welding spots visible in it. The most important change is the telescopic front suspension which has replaced the leading link suspension in the front in the front of the scooter. This change in turn has improved the handling, the stability and the overall behaviour of the scooter on the road.

Another aspect in the Duro where there has been some modification is the ergonomics. New features in it include spacious seats, much more room for the leg of the user and the brake-lever lock mechanism that comes with the Honda Activa and is very much important for scooters with no gears. Some technical specifications in it includes an engine with 4 stroke and 125 cc, self and kick start system with automatic power transmission producing a maximum power of 8 BHP at 7500 RPM and a torque of 9 Nm at 5500 RPM which has a maximum speed of 80km/h. The scooter is of 105 kg curb weight, while its length being 1819 mm, width 740 mm and height 1076 mm and is priced at Rs 43,000 in the roads of Delhi. We hope this will perform well in the market satisfying customer needs.
