The Renault Scenic, king of the compact MPV hill in Europe changes for the 2012 model that is to appear in February and aims to keep it there. In the exterior, the Scenic and Grand Scenic is modified with features like new taillights, LED running lights, new wheels and two new colours namely Damask Red and Azzuro Blue. The engine in it has been extended with two small capacity four-cylinder powerplants, the one a 1.2 L gas engine while the other a 1.5 L diesel engine. If Renault’s participation in Formula One means anything then those lumps are supposed to benefit from F1 tech, most importantly the start and stop system and the brake regeneration.

The best selling minivan in Europe have received a facelift for 2012 model. Both the scenic and the Grand scenic will be featured with a front end with LED lights running day time and polished black features, tailgate strip, redefined rear lights and chrome details up front. It is announced that a turbocharged petrol engine would be added to the model which, according to Renault would consume 20% fuel less than the present 110 HP 1.6 L.

So far the interior is concerned, it has also received some modifications which include a beige trim for Expression and Privilege versions while a dark Charcoal for the Privilege Initiale. The updated model is the first model of the carmaker which includes the Visio System. A camera is installed for controlling lane departure warning system and automatic headlight functioning which detects lights nearby and adjusts the beam of lights accordingly.
