2012 Hyundai Equus 1 The two trims of 2012 Hyundai Equus

As an improvisation of the version produced in 2011, the luxurious car of the Hyundai brand is all set to dazzle the auto market. The Equus specified for 2012 has two sets of trims to offer. While, one of the trims has been named as ‘Signature’; the other is known as ‘Ultimate’.

The luxuriantly built passenger friendly car with its capacity of accommodating a full size family of five has four doors. Both ‘Signature’ as well as its co- partner in ‘Ultimate’ derives its power from a standardized engine of five liters. The engine to don the sedan of 2011 was capacitated at 4.6 liters. Thus in respect of its power, one gets to see a partial up gradation. The five liter engine featuring both its trims has been capacitated to generate four hundred and twenty nine Horsepower. With the mentioned Horsepower of 429, the engine ‘V8’ is supposed to ensure fuel economy of 15 miles per gallon in course of city drives. But during the course of highway drive a better fuel economy is expected because the same engine is likely to ensure fuel economy to the tune of 23 miles per gallon. The engine geared to better fuel economy also ensures smooth drive, control and freedom from noise.

Both the trims have been facilitated with an automated gear transmission of the eight speed mode. The transmission of the eight speed variety happens to be another of its improvisations. The sedan introduced in 2011, was marked by a transmission of the six speed variety. The transmission featuring its latest model also includes facility for switchover into the sports mode. Despite minor points of variation between two of its trims, one can expect commonality in respect of their traction, drive train, navigation, quality of sound and interior décor; besides the aforementioned points of engine structures, transmission, power and fuel efficiency.
