The challenging luxury model of Ford Motor is trying to recover from many years of negligence with a new concept which not only gives a preview of the next MKZ mid-size sedan in dealership later in 2012 but also serves as Lincoln’s next generation vehicles. It is not for the first time that Ford has tried to rejuvenate the luxury brand. It is claimed by the Blue Oval that the MKZ Concept that makes it debut in the Detroit Motor Show in 2012 marks an era for Lincoln. According to the Vice President of Ford, Derrrick Kuzak the Lincoln MKZ concept is not a newly introduced car but a new brand. It is a step ahead in the reinvention of Lincoln, something that has been quietly but aggressively pursued. Something that is important is the styling language along with the gadgets and the features of the interior.

In the words of design director, Max Wolff the shape for the new model is an image of simplicity which is completed with only a few strokes. The movement is towards something that is called elegant simplicity. It is something warm and more controlled which is away from both traditional luxury and complex designs. Moving towards the exterior most details are new with an exception of the front end that looks more modern version of the current face associated with a split wing grille and smaller headlamps in the corner. In the inside there is room for four with champagne colour leather seats. The passenger can have a glimpse through the panoramic glass roof that stretches from the windshield to the backlight. Among others, the cabin has push button transmission gear selection, a tiered centre console and crystal instrumentation. However, information on hardware are not yet revealed, but it is known that it is on the same platform with that of the new 2013 Ford Fusion.
