The GRMN iQ Supercharger prototype has been presented here with more details. This new model with 1.33 liter engine was at first presented in the Tokyo Auto Salon last year, which was to give an output of 119 hp and 158 Nm. It is now after some twists, the revised model produces an output of 180 Nm and 128 hp. It is not exactly a very high gain but in the small city car which ways only 990 kg it is quite noticeable. However, looks are most important for prospective buyers and as such the exterior has also been completely revised. It features a wide body kit which features Blister fenders and has an unmistakable bumper fascia, back spoiler, sports seats and a 16 inch Enkei alloy wheel. This small iQ has six speed close transmission, large brakes, tuned suspension and a sport exhaust system.

Toyota has made an announcement regarding the development of iQ Supercharger in the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon. This will be built by Gazoo Racing and will be equipped with a brawnier version of the 1.3 liter four cylinder engine as found in the standard one. Moving towards the interior, buyers will find gauges which read up to 124 mph and custom seats will also be available. Gazoo Racing and Toyota has plans to produce only 100 units of the new model which is set to start at the end of 2012. Other details are still under wraps. We have to wait for more details to come our way. Let us wait and see how this model performs and with what other new features it comes to the market. Till then we have none other than to make guesses and be satisfied with what we have come to know.
