As promised earlier Kia had unveiled the Trackster Concept in Chicago, a 3 door Soul coupe which is performance oriented and hints at a production model. The Trackster being created by Kia’s design studio aims at track and road usage. As said by Tom Kearns, the chief designer of KMA that the idea was to build the model looking tough like a bulldog. The car was to be based in reality but with much attitude. He further added that the interpretations would be bold enough to change the conception of people about sporty Kia. To achieve this goal the company has designed the new model with a variety of eye catching features which include the huge air intake split in the front, trimmed in carbon, extensive head lights attached with incorporated LEDs, vertical LED taillights, vented back spoiler with the HRE-K1 monoblock wheels which are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires of size 245/40-19 in the front and 285/35-19 inch in the back.

This concept is featured with a stretched wheelbase which measures 101.2 inch and is about 5 inch wider to the production Soul. The interior is featured with two racing seats, newly designed dashboard and Grabyte Grey leather with suede covering the door panels, steering wheels and others in the cabin. The Trackster features a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine delivering 250 HP in motion through a 6 speed manual transmission and a four wheel drive system which is electronically controlled. This concept features a lowered suspension and high performance brake system from Brembo. All these features seem to be quite interesting and hope that these features will draw the customer’s attention and will prove to be a successful model among them. We have to wait further to see how it performs and for all other details to come our way.
