The Fiat group has a habit to dress up the most affordable hatchback in compliment to the classiest exotics. Alfa Romeo did Giulietta and MiTo for the dealers of Maserati and Abarth a special 500 in honour of Ferrari. But as the latter has run its production, the Scorpion marque has been celebrating Maserati with the recent version. Destined to be unveiled in the Motor Show to be held in Geneva, the new model is equipped with the same 180 hp 1.4 litre turbo four engine as in the Tributo Ferrari but with a different alloy of 17 inch. The version of the Maserati also features the 500C roof panel that which can be taken back and elegant design than the earlier edition which is topped by a burgundy paint of three layer and sand beige Pontrona Frau leather.

For it only 499 pieces will be offered. But if it is thought that the gussied up Cinquecento is more valuable than the Mini Goodwood edition or Aston Martin Cygnet would depend mostly on whether one has ever drove a Quattroporte or Gran Turismo through the crowded city streets of Europe.
