As the production version of the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander is to be unveiled in the Motor Show to be held in Geneva in the upcoming March, the automaker has decided to share information and photos with the forthcoming mid-size crossover. The new Outlander designed to cope better with time; it will emit CO2 below 130gm/km depending upon the market. This new model will be featured with advanced safety features like the Forward Collision Mitigation, Active Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning. Apart from these it will allows its passengers a comfortable driving experience. Mitsubishi has decided to make the model more practical by attaching it with a power tailgate which will make the area of the cargo flat adopting full 3rd row seating.

This model is defined as solid, safe and simple and almost similar in size of the outgoing model, but comes with high quality materials along with a dashboard which is designed for better concentration of the driver. The new generation model will be available in the European market in two powertrain options—one is a 2.0 liter MIVEC petrol and the other is a 2.2 liter MIVEC Diesel. Depending on the market condition the engine specification and whether they will have Auto Stop and Go technology will be decided, while both these units will be available with all new 6 speed automatic transmission and 4WD or 2WD configurations. As per the Japanese company, this crossover will also be equipped with an eco-friendly driving system which will notify the driver whenever he or she will be driving at maximum efficency.

The Mitsubishi Outlander, after its premiere show in Geneva will go on sale in Russia this summer, in Europe in late summer and then to the other parts of the world including China, Japan and North America.
