The all new Mitsubishi Mirage which was seen for the first time in the Motor Show that was held in Tokyo last year has entered production at Laem Chabang in Thailand, which is the brand new factory of the company. The global compact car of the Japanese automaker will first go for sale in Thailand next week before being exported to the Southeast Asian countries followed Europe, Japan and the other markets in the world later in 2012. Osamu Masuko, the President of Mitsubishi Corp has said that he is very pleased to present the new car in Thailand at first. It is an all new compact model focusing on premium fuel efficiency and minimum emission of CO2 right for the time when the demand for eco-friendliness and superior fuel efficiency are increasing through out the world.

The new car with a length of 3710 mm, width of 1665 mm and a height of 1490 mm falls between super minis such as the Ford Fiesta and the city cars like the Fiat Panda. This model is featured with a MIVE gasoline engine of 1.0 liter three cylinder and which is equipped with Auto Stop and Go system joined with a CVT. A combined fuel efficiency of 30 km/l is claimed by Mitsubishi. However, in the Thai market this model will be ranged between THB 380,000 to 551,000 which will depend on the trim level and the company has plans to sell about 2500 pieces each month in Thailand.
