It is just after two years of the introduction of the Amarok and the beginning of production at the manufacturing Pacheco plant located in Argentina of the Volkswagen group, the automaker has announced that the mid size pickup would also be produced at the factory of the brand which is at Hanover in Germany. As per the VW group it has planned to manufacture about 40,000 Amarok trucks per year for the customers in the Eastern and Western Europe and also in Africa. The company noted that the production would continue in Argentina but in the future, it would emphasise on deliveries to both South America and Latin America.

The CEO of the German firm, Martin Winterkorn opened the assembly lines which are newly installed for the Amarok during the special occasion on Thursday. He has said that Volkswagen has huge growth opportunities all over the world in the segment of light commercial vehicles and with the beginning of production it has finally appeared in Europe. He further stated that the Amarok stands for production capability of the area and provides additional ongoing impetus to the success of the Volkswagen pickup. At present, it has started the pre-production work of the truck with serial production to start from the end of June, when 185 trucks would come up from the Hanover assembly lines each working day.
