After the 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata Special Edition, here comes another special edition from the Mazda automobile company. The company unveiled its recent Mazda MX-5 Kuro special edition car in the U.K and will be producing only 600 units initially.

The word Kuro has been derived from the Japanese word meaning Black, however t car will be available in three exciting colors; the Velocity Red Mica, Crystal White Pearlescent and the Brilliant Black. The Brilliant Black version will feature 17 inch Black alloy wheels and Black accents. The car has a lot of ‘race car’ influence in its design considering the sports car exhaust and faux rear diffuser. The interiors are not much different from the standard Mazda editions.

The car will come in two variants; the soft top and the hard one. While the soft top will be driven by a 1.8 liter engine (124 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque); the hard top will feature a 2.0 liter engine with 158 hp and 139 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration time from stand still to 100 km/hr will be 9.9 seconds for the soft top and 7.9 seconds for the hard one. The top speeds for both the models are 195 km/hr and 219 km/hr respectively.

The soft top model is priced at £18,495 and the hard top at £21,995. All prices are exclusive of taxes and delivery charges.
