The new Toyota Prius Plus is definitely going to be a head turner this season. Evolved from the original Toyota Prius, this car has a plethora of features to offer.

This model is as compact and optimized in terms of performance as its predecessor. The first ‘Plus’ feature in this edition is its increased size which can seat 7 people in three rows with ease. It is 135 mm longer and 85 mm higher than the regular Prius. An interesting detail in this car is that the makers have considered the forward visibility of all the passengers by keeping the seats on each row 45mm higher than the row in front without compromising on the head clearance space in each row.

The car has been built using high tensile strength steel and aluminum which make the car lightweight without compromising with its sturdiness. The tyres are the standard 17 inch alloy wheels which come with 5% lowered rolling resistance when compared to its predecessor.

The interiors are breath taking and intelligently crafted. The best feature is the Toyota Touch multi information screen which can be used to navigate the car system, control audio and the air conditioning controls.

The car is powered by a ‘Hybrid Synergy Drive’, which combines a 1.8 liter VVT-i petrol engine, a powerful electric motor, a generator, a high performance lithium-ion battery, a power control unit, and a power split device. The HSD system derives energy from both the petrol engine and the electric motor or sometimes uses just one of them in order to maximize the fuel efficiency and car performance. The system also has a unique pitch and bounces control and enhanced NVH for noiseless driving.

The car is available in seven exterior colors including the Toyota patent White Pearl Finish.
