Before announcing the full pricing details of the much awaited 2013 Elantra GT, the Hyundai car company decided to allow its customers take a sneak peek at it. They posted a note at a Social Networking site Twitter saying that the base model will be priced at $18,395 approximately, excluding all types of extra charges like delivery, handling etc. They added that the base model will have all the standard features including the seven safety airbags, heated front seats, seventeen inch alloy wheels, inflatable seat belts, fog lights and the Blue Link in-car connectivity system.

This car made its debut at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show and is based on the i30 model, which is now very popular in Europe, Australia, and North America. It has a solid a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder Nu engine with 148 hp and 131 lb-ft of torque and very low emission rates. The Elantra Sedan, another very popular automobile from Hyundai, also has the same engine configurations.

Rivals in the Elantra league are the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf, who will also be featuring in the U.S offering the same engine capacity.
