2013 Mercedes CGL 45 Royal Last Edition – the Car for the Chinese Road
Carlsson- the German tuning house- has the 2012 Mercedes-Benz reserved for the Chinese market only. This happened when the Chinese car dealer Zhongsheng Group Holdings limited got hold of 70% stakes in Carlsson. Thus this leads to China-exclusive schemes being born out of the tuning company. The first example of this is the Mercedes Benz CGL 45 Royal Last Edition.
The car has a throng of parts that are made out of high-quality PUR-rim plastic. There are special radiator grille that uses chrome and which has mesh inserts. It also includes beefier and broader wheel arches. There is an outstanding lighting set-up that includes a couple of dual light units and LED lights for daytime usage which are placed on the front spoiler. The four-wheeler has a Carlsson logo to go with it. It also provides a set of custom-made wheels and has a new and improved front fascia.
This German Sport Utility Vehicle incorporates a V6 diesel-run engine (3 liter) which can pump out an output of 310 hp in total and a peak torque of 516 lb-ft. When compared to the regular 265 hp and a torque of 457 lb-ft we can clearly understand that this is an improvement. A further improvement of V8 unit 5.5 liter which can produce an output of 435hp and a torque of 442 lb-ft at max. The colour of the car makes it stand apart. It mixes together two tones of colour-one of black and the other of orange.
This car is a China-only Mercedes-Benz. Before there were cars that belonged to the mainstream and were definitely not China-centric. This scheme has therefore resulted in a better understanding of the Chinese market and their needs. Thus Carlsson will now start producing cars that will cater to the specific demands of their Chinese customers.
