2013 Tramontana XTR 2013 Tramontana XTR – it gets only better

Another supercar that hits the market this week is the Tramontana XTR. The Spanish automaker’s most recent offering has the look; however, more than that what it is in news for is the power that it is invested with. This car surpasses its previous model in terms of the top speed and performance.

The XTR features a V12 engine, which is sourced from Mercedes-Benz. The dual-turbocharged engine (5.5 liter) will supply an output of 888 hp- this is 188 more hp that its predecessor R. The car will produce a torque of 980 Nm at the max. It also is provided with a new racing-spec transmission. This car is a two-seater with the passenger seat placed at the back of the driver’s. The entire hp will be provided to the rear wheels. This will be done with the help of “ultra-rapid competition gearbox”. The car weighs 3000 lbs. The Tramontana R needed 3.6 seconds to hit the speed of 60 mph from rest. The car provided a top speed of ‘only’ 214 mph, thus we expect this supercar to reach this speed in about 3 seconds proving that this car is geared towards pure performance.

As the car is a step up from its previous model R it is going to have aerodynamic modifications and radical framework upgrades to create more balance and better handling and also so that it can use its extra power to the hilt. This car will get entirely new and different front and rear headlights and spoilers.

Only 12 units of the XTR will be built per year though the company is looking for more dealers and trying to expand its work and activities. The car will be up for sale to its customers by the end of 2012 and will cost $514,000 or 420,000 Euros.
