2014 Alfa Romeo Giulia Giulia’s launch to be decisive for Alfa Romeo in 2014

Alfa Romeo’s Giulia is slated for a release in 2014. After much delay, finally the plans for Giulia are on the right tracks. The forthcoming vehicle is to be had as sedan and wagon. This launch will be decisive for Alfa Romeo’s survival.

Autocar has declared that the car’s blueprint is yet to be finalized and should be up for a preview sometime next year.

Very little is known about this vehicle as of now. It is in the reports that the car will be using the MultiAir Technology sourced from Fiat. A MultiAir I-4 (1.4 liter) will churn out 120 hp. Other than using a variety of other diesel engines from Fiat, it will also use the turbo diesel I-4 (1.8 liter) found in its predecessor. At the time of a 6 cylinder power Giulia will use the MultiAir edition of Chrysler’s Pentastar V-6 (3.6 liter). This version is at the moment being made use of by vehicles that are sold by brands like Chrysler, Ram and Dodge.

The vehicle has an elongated wheelbase and its overall length too is stretched out, making it feasible to incorporate a self-regulating rear suspension.

This sedan will have a front-wheel drive but will also provide the choice of an all-wheel drive. The vehicle is all-set to make its appearance next year with sales starting the year after.
