The Italian car manufacturer Maserati has decided to launch the new Maserati GranCabrio MC at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

In its official statement Maserati said : “Designed to complete Maserati’s open-top range, the new Maserati GranCabrio MC blends high performance and sports characteristics derived from racing experience with the style, charm and practicality of Maserati’s four seater convertible.”

Exterior: The noticeable changes include a new face, which seems to be lifted directly off the MC Straddle coupe. This makes the car 48 millimeters longer than the standard and Sport versions of the GranCabrio. The keep the large body glued firmly on the road the large rear spoiler has also been reworked for the MC, which provides enough down force. The third brake light built into the luggage compartment inside the spoiler.

Engine: The details of the engine were not divulged, but it’s assumed that it will have a 4.7- V8 engine sourced from Ferrari, generating a power of around 450 horsepower and 376Nm pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a six-speed automatic. The car can achieve a maximum speed of 186 mph top speed.

The Maserati GranCabrio MC Stradale will available for sale in the US market early next year. It’s priced at around $150,000.
