The MINI John Cooper Works GP is all set for its first appearance at the Paris Motor Show 2012. The car is known for its sportiness and also because it is the fastest. The vehicle is a limited edition and only 2000 units of the same will be produced. The vehicle brags about its exceptional performance that matches its unusual looks.

The latest has been able to move in 18 seconds before its precursor’s best lap timings when it was being tested at the Nurburgring North Loop. This timing indicates the vehicle’s advanced engineering that makes possible this performance.

This power and thrust is only possible because of the John Cooper Works that packs in a four cylinder engine (1.6 litres). It can produce a peak torque of 260 Nm, but this can also be increased for shorter intervals to 280 Nm with the help of overboost function. The engine can provide a thrust of 218 hp. This power is shifted to the wheels with the help of a six-speed transmission that is manual.

This two-seater can accelerate from rest to a speed of 100 km/h in only 6.3 seconds. A sprint from 80 km/h to 120 km/h in fifth gear can be completed in 5.9 seconds. The vehicle provides a maximum speed of 242 km/h. The MINIMALISM feature keeps the average test cycle intake down to only 7.1 litres per 100 km. this emits 165 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometre.

The chassis is painted with metallic colour Thunder Grey with painted in red edges. There is the GP emblem running in-between front and back wheel arches. The other specifications include fog lamps, xenon headlights, sun guard glazing, DSC with a special GP mode, air conditioning and Sport button.

This two- seater comes with a price tag of £28.790 in the United Kingdom.
