The 2013 Porche Panamera Sport Turismo has been unveiled on the eve of the Paris Motor Show.

The highlights of the new Porsche are:

A new Boxster-derived headlamp which resembles the Cayenne.

There are no external rear view mirrors; instead, the engineers have given it two cameras on the side air outlets, the images of which are displayed inside the cabin.

Tail-lamps the most elegant part of the Sport Turismo with an all-LED setup.

Exterior: The other visual changes are an extended roofline, longer glasshouse and angled tailgate that open at bumper height. The Sport Turismo is 1,990 mm wide, 1,401 mm tall and 4,950 mm long, which makes it 61mm wider, 17mm lower and 20mm shorter than its predecessor.

Interior: The inside hass undergone major changes too. The center stack has been completely deleted, replaced by what looks like a tablet seated in between the seats. the touch screen gives the driver control over the climate system, navigation and even control the traction control and power distribution of the whole car.

Other apps included are , a smartphone app will let you do things like schedule charging to get the cheapest rates, pre-condition the climate control to make sure it’s warm or cool enough for you and even get directions back to your car should you forgot just where in long-term parking you left it. Quite cool.

Engine: the 416PS plug-in hybrid engine replaces the regular twin-turbo, .it can cover 30km and achieve a speed of 130kmph in pure electric mode. Porsche claims that it has a fuel efficiency of approximately 27kmpl. The hybrid drive train used is similar to the one used in the Panamera and Cayenne. If you are looking for anything more then you get the 333 horsepower supercharged V6 that resides under the hood. The combined power of the two gets you to 60 in fewer than six seconds — while delivering an estimated 67MPG.
