At the New York Auto Show was unveiled the 2013 SRT Viper. This spanking-new vehicle has generated a lot of buzz since the time it made its first appearance. Customers have been eagerly waiting to get to know the price of this car.

This Viper carries an initial MSRP which is more than $15,000 lesser than that of GM’s matching Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. However, what is disappointing is that the car is priced at a whopping $97,395 excluding the destination fee of $1,995 which makes a total of $99,390. At such a price most people cannot buy it.

Apart from this base model, there is a Viper GTS which is priced at $120,395. The destination fee of $1,995 is excluded.

This edition moves the stakes higher by providing several features such as a dual-mode active suspension. Forger-aluminium rims with six spokes. It uses a V10 engine of 8.4 litre capacity. It can provide a thrust of 640 hp and a torque of 600 lb.-ft, at the max, to the wheels at the rear through a 6-speeed gearbox which is manual. It has got a triple-digit weight lessening which results in the Viper with the best ratio-power to weight. There also the regular safety features that have been incorporated which include the traction control, the all-new 4 channel ABS. the interiors too have been given a whole new look using all the latest materials and technologies.

SRT has declared that the dealer orders will open expectedly in mid-November this year. This is the most luxurious and exclusive model of the Chrysler Group and it will be manufactured at the “Conner Avenue Assembly Plant” in the state of Detroit. The place has become the home of Viper since its first generation of the series too was manufactured their which was unveiled in 1995.
