Toyota has launched the 2013 Verso MPV, a modified version of its predecessor which will be shown at the Paris Motor Show on September 27th. The new changes have makes it look similar to the new Auris or Yaris, while discarding the looks like that of the Corolla.

Toyota says given a facelift to 470 different parts in the new model, from bumpers, to LED lights and pieces of interior trim. Toyota has also improved the standard of other equipments, like adding a 6.1 inch color display in the center console for all the trim levels.

Exterior: the new Verso features the company’s striking Under Priority design language in the front. The attractive new front looks attractive and the rear styling has been redesigned to reduce height while placing emphasis on width and length.

It features a large, trapezoidal lower grille set, the front bumper has been redesigned. There’s also a smaller upper grille running along the new headlamps.

the new Verso retains the trademark, dual-zone styling. It’s expressed by a strong character line which flows from the leading edge of the front bumper, then rises through the lower edge of the doors before flowing upwards through the C pillar to define the roof-mounted spoiler. The headlamp clusters incorporate new LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) .

Interior: a softer feeling, satin black paint finish enhances the cabin quality throughout. the door trim, armrest and steering wheel are covered with Nappa leather. The upper glove box has a soft touch material finish.

the instrument surrounds, the instrument binnacle hood rim, the air vents, instrument panel, gear shift bezel and door assist grips have satin chrome trim highlights. The door handle itself is now finished in a new, two-layer paint coating.

A new rheostat switch allows for the simultaneous adjustment of both combination meter and all switchgear illumination, giving consistency to backlighting brightness and intensity throughout the interior.

Engine: It comes with a 2.0-liter diesel with 126 PS (124 hp) and a 2.2-liter diesel with either 150 PS (148bhp) or 177 PS (175bhp). The petrol variants include the base 1.6-liter with 132 PS (130bhp) and a 1.8-liter with 147 PS (145bhp).
