Honda has come out with a new concept car. The Honda Civic Wagon. It gave a glimpse of the concept car at the Paris Motor Show.

Manabu Nishimae, Honda’s European president, revealed plans of launching a pre-production model next year, ahead of the Geneva Motor Show or probably the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The new car is a derivative of the Honda Civic and, showcases a station wagon model of the same. The teaser image reveals that the it will have marked front and rear fenders. It’s also likely to feature a smoother roofline. The rear door handles seem to be hidden, much like the Renault Clio Estate.

Other details regarding the vehicle were not revealed.

However if it maintains the contemporary look and feel of its sibling, the engine is most likely to be the new, 1.6 liter i-DTEC turbo diesel. The new Civic with this engine was recently unveiled at the French Motor Show.

The specifications of the engine are, it generates a power of 118 horse power, at 4000 rpm. The maximum torque generated is 300Nm at 2000rpm. The fuel consumption of the engine is 3.6lt/100km with a CO2 emission of 94g/km.
