McLaren is supposedly preparing to deliver a new batch of special cars during September’s Singapore Grand Prix weekend. It’s being said that following a release of the brand new McLaren P1 Design Study, the British manufacturer is planning the official debut of a special edition. It’s been called the MP4-12C “SGP Edition”. The distinguishing features of the car will feature sporty unusual color, matching the interior. Its intended to bring to mind the Vodafone-McLaren Mercedes F1 car.

The Red and Black base color of the vehicle will complemented by striking Rocket Red highlights and silver pin-stripes. Apart from ultra-lightweight rims, this special edition will also have front and rear bumpers with more aggressive styling. The car has been designed and built by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), which is the same division responsible for the creation of the one-off X-1 supercar.

The car is supposed to be unveiled between 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm on Friday, September 21st, at a cocktail hosted by Mr. Ron Dennis, the Executive chairman of McLaren Automotive and racing .The venue would be Conrad Centennial Singapore, Lobby Lounge, at Level 1.

Each of the MP4-12C Fire Black Singapore Editions will be available at a S$1.28 million (800,000 Euros or US $1,04). One is still left, two are already sold.
