2013 Nissan Extrem Concept “2013 Nissan Extrem Concept” car all set to be revealed

The Nissan Extrem Concept car has been unveiled. The car imbibes the vibe and liveliness of Brazil as it is made especially for the Brazilian roads. This concept car has also been manufactured in Brazil and will be making its grand premiere at the Sao Paulo International Motor Show.

Shiro Nakamura, who is the Chief Creative Officer and the Senior Vice President, explained their thought behind the concept stating, “Brazil is a country of great natural beauty and it has a passionate, rich culture. But this is not always reflected in the cars on its streets especially the more affordable locally produced vehicles which tend to be conservative in design, colour and specification”.

“Extrem with a dynamic, high-character design is far from conservative. It was created to appeal to the country’s growing band of city-based young professionals who are passionate about design and want to make a personal statement. The lightweight two-door 2+2, has a dynamic stance, fresh surfacing, and a clear rugged ability to tackle the urban jungle everyday”, he said.

The car has been styled by NDA- Nissan Design America in San Diego at California. However, by joining forces with the Brazilian designers the car blends versatility and robustness with the dexterity of a compact sports car. This concept car is definitely one of the new breed of sports cars.

The roof line of this car slopes sharply which gives it the look of a sport car. The shape of the car exudes an athletic feel along with the fender volume that defines sharp creases on the car. The headlights and the tail lights incorporate Led technology and also have the graphics that is a mark of Nissan. The car rides on 19-in alloy wheels.

The car is fitted with a DIG-T turbocharged 1.6 liter petrol engine that motivates the car.
