Hyundai based in Australia apart from unveiling in Sydney the Accent SR has also introduced the i30 SR idea. This concept has its base in the Elite edition. This concept is heading towards production and will be unveiled next year as a more performance oriented variety of the hatchback.

It will be borrowing the gasoline engine of 2.0 Liter capacity which is already being utilized in the i40 model. This engine can generate a power of 174 HP and a maximum torque of 157 lb-ft. These figures indicate towards an important progress compared to i30’s standard engine of 1.8 liter capacity which develops a power of 147 HP and a peak torque of 131 lb-ft. this means that this new offering has 18% more power and 20% more torque.

Apart from using a different engine, this new model of Hyundai has a modified black coloured sports grille, LED Daytime Running Lights and front fog lamps, 17-in sports alloy wheels, rear diffuser, and fractional leather/ leatherette fabric with red cloth inserts.

This car has certain other subtle body enhancements, and also displays a special chrome and red SR badge.

This new generation i30 SR represents the company’s advanced thinking and intent to deliver performance, fun, and affordability.
