Kia is a well known name in the European automobile industry and enjoys a good fan following. Sorento is a popular car model in its stable and enjoys a good market share. Recently KIA upgraded the model of Sorento. It was not a simple tweak and minor adjustments but a complete overhaul. The model design is upgraded throughout the entire length and breadth of the car. The upgrades are done to enhance the security, technology, looks and the comfort quotient of the car. The dealers will start to take up booking orders for the car from October of this year but the option of selecting the model will not be available yet.

The revised model will have less fuel consumption, less emission and overall lower running costs. No wonder that the interest amongst the auto enthusiasts are palapable about this revised version of Sorento.

The length and width of the car in the revised model remains the same. The length is 4685 mm while the width remains 1885 mm. However, the ground clearance of the new model is 10 mm less than its predecessor. This reduction in height of centre of gravity gives the car more grip and agility while improving the responses to the direction changes.

The KIA Sorento had achieved the 5 star rating in the Euro-NCAP safety tests. The new model is certainly to repeat the feat once again though the tests have been made tougher. The new model has an improved body shell that is much stronger. This body shell is fitted with extra front, rear and side structures that removes the impact energy away from the passengers. This improvement is certainly the right foot forward on the way to achieve that coveted safety rating.

Come December, 2012 and the customers will be able to pick up the models of the new version of Sorento.
