2013 Opel Cascada The Convertible Opel Cascada to be launched in 2013

Opel has something new to offer. Its latest convertible- Cascada- will be launched early next year. This vehicle is a classy four-seater and has a lengthened silhouette. This convertible is mid-sized not only due to its length but also because of the features and the supreme technologies that it offers.

After offering the several generations of the Astra and Kadett, Opel offers a prestigious and a unique midsize belonging to the older generation. It is a convertible comprising of four seats and a soft-top. The convertible belongs to the fifties and the sixties like the Rekord or the Kapitan. But this car has been given a modern and inimitable touch with the help of all the latest technologies.

This car provides a great driving experience because of its robust body, HiPerStrut suspension (front) and FlexRide adaptive damping scheme. When driving at a speed of 50 km/h the soft-top retractable roof can be opened in 17 seconds thus providing the driver and the passengers an open-air feeling.

It has electric seat-belt passengers, specially designed Nappa upholstery, safety systems and comfortable and easy to use seats. The least load volume with its roof open is 280 litres and 350 litres with its roof closed.

The FlexFold system is of great use when the load volume is needed to be increased. This system electrically folds down the seats to offer more space. This feature is not available in cars with a hard top.

Body robustness is an important criterion for convertibles and the Opel Cascada excels in that. This vehicle is equipped with a 1.4 litre petrol Turbo engine. It can be linked with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This is available in two output types 88 KW and 103 KW that generates a power of 120 hp and 140 hp respectively. Both these engines deliver a maximum torque of 380 Nm.
