The brand new Maserati Ghibli is going to be the car that breaks new grounds for Maserati, which is certainly saying something. The car debuted at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. This launch actually marks the first time in the manufacturer’s history that the brand will have two four door saloon options available in the market. The Maserati Ghibli is a dynamic car that still maintains links with the bigger Quattroporte. The link still remains, but Maserati Ghibli certainly looks and is more aggressive in design and performance.

The basic design of the car is really stunning. It has a basic coupe like design, but it is a four door saloon. There are strong hints around the grille and the headlights of the car that make it look really strongly like a coupe as well. The grille has been inspired by one of Maserati’s best cars, the GranTurismo, and the design can actually be traced back to the classic A6 GCS that was released way back in the 1950s. The Ghibli retains the traditional Maserati C-pillar, another feature that makes it look very much like a coupe. It carries the classical logo of the Saetta Maserati, a tradition that can be traced back all the way to 1963.

The side profile of the car is dominated by some really strong lines that run along the side of the grille. The car has the traditional Maserati grille vents that lie behind the wheel of the car. It finishes in the back, near the rear lights. These lines do not just help in aerodynamics, they make the car look more stunning as well. Inside, the car stuns through its dashboard design and really sporty finish. One will have the best luxury and space one can expect from a car in this range. This is a typical Maserati Executive car and it will certainly create headlines.
