The Goodwood speed festival will be the venue of the launch of the most extreme Caterham Seven 620R. This iconic model is going to receive complete makeover and is supposed to develop even better performance than its predecessor. The new Caterham Seven 620R is powerful, but the driving is both manageable and exciting. The specifications of the car have been modified so that it has become one of those vehicles which completely rewrites the parameters of performance. This model will be powered by a 2.0l Ford Duratech supercharged engine, producing a power of 311 bhp at 4711 rpm. It delivers a maximum torque of 219 ft lb at 7350 rpm. This engine has been mated with six speed sequential transmission with flat shift.

The new model gets upgraded suspension to cope with the power of the vehicle. The front suspension is adjustable double wishbone with roll bar while the rear suspension is the De Dion axle. Twin circuit split brakes in the front is mated with discs front and rear and has low level warning system. the car has a top speed of 155 kmph and takes a mere 2.79 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. Rack and pinion steering increase the ease of handling.
In addition to the above features, the Caterham Seven 620R comes with the standard package of this model. Race developed cooling package and the toggle switch ignition are classic Caterham touches. The four point race harness offer a high level of security. Engine immobilizer is another major security feature. The car is not only fast and powerful; it is comfortable as well. Finally, the car appears extremely sporty and stylish with its various innovative features including airflow optimized nose cone, gunmetal chassis, carbon fibre wings, carbon aero screen, high focused instrumentations and many more.
