The 2014 version of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is a quintessential sports car which allows a skilful driver to take to the track. The car is powered by DOHC 16 valve 2.0 liter turbocharged and intercooled inline 4 cylinder engine capable of generating a power of 291 bhp at 6500 rpm and a torque of 300 ft. lb beginning at 4000 rpm. The 2014 Lancer Evolution is build on the same base as the Lancer sports sedan, the stylish 5-door Lancer Sportback models, the popular Outlander and Outlander Sport crossover vehicles. This technology helps to disperse energy from the cabin section and the fuel system. the tire pressure monitoring system is put into place to avoid crashes. A rather detailed supplemental restraint system (SRS) has been used in the car. The car comes with a total of seven airbags. There is a knee airbag on the driver side; there are two advanced dual stage front airbags which comes with occupant seat position censors; then there are two seat mounted side impact airbags and finally two side curtain airbags.
