Alfa Romeo has shown the world the power of their 4C safety car. The car will debut at the FIM World Superbike Championship this very weekend.

The exteriors of the car are impressive. There are two shades on the body. Red, white and green stripes run down the length of the exterior paint.

The power for this car comes from a 1.75 liter four cylinder engine that is capable of generating 240 HP (or 176 kW) output power and a maximum torque of 258 lb ft (or 350 Nm). The engine will be mated to a dual clutch transmission gearbox. The safety car can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (or 0-100 km/h) in a meager 4.5 seconds. The top speed attainable by this mean machine is over 155 mph (or 250 km/h).

Alfa Romeo prides itself in being a sponsor of the much renowned FIM World Superbike Championship. They have been associated with the championship series for a period of seven years now. The company could not have chosen a better place to unveil their car. The Alfa 4C’s launch in the UK is already a much celebrated affair. Earlier, it has been showcased in other places. However, the company retains the enthusiasm that comes with a first release as it prepares to launch the vehicle at the esteemed Silverstone circuit.
