Hyundai has announced the facelift version of its Elantra line of cars. The new model is bound to impress with its new set of features and performance parameters. The facelift of the Elantra has been tagged as the Avante for the Korean market. It has a dimension larger than the Elantra. The length is now 4,550 mm, which is 20mm more. The wheelbase has not undergone any expansion. The front and the rear bumpers have been stretched by 5mm and 15mm respectively. Overall, the Avante has a far more steady and composed look. The all new front bumper, fog lamps, radiator grille, the LED light guide and the new projection headlamps add a touch of dynamism to the Avante. The new model also looks far more sophisticated especially when viewed from the sides. The revamped 17 inch two tone alloy wheels and the chrome belt line molding enhance the Avante’s premium look and feel. The interior changes reflect those concerns which were raised by the users of Elantra the most. The center air vent position has been shifted upward on the dashboard. The front center armrest position has been pushed upwards too. Other notable introductions to the Avante are the rear seat air vents, the 3.5 inch OLED infotainment display and the ventilation feature with which the seats are equipped. Some of the convenience features which have made their way into the car are the SPAS (Smart Parking Assist System) and the flex steer system. There is a new engine option too in the form of a 1.6 litre diesel engine. This was introduced keeping the demand of diesel vehicles in the East. The Avante delivers a mileage of 5.4 l/100kms (on Manual Transmission) and 6.2l/100kms (on Automatic Transmission). The car will go on the floors in the last quarter of 2013.
