The Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer has been fine tuned by the Opel team of engineers with the aim of refining the driving performance. The new car is all set to make its debut at the 2013 IAA at Frankfurt.

The powerful engine of the car produces a maximum power of 239 kW and a peak torque of 435 Nm. It is mated with a six speed transmission and an all wheel drive so that the car takes mere 6.0n seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph. The electronically controlled 4 X 4 system incorporates a high quality clutch on Haldex principle. This is coupled with a limited slip differential. The result of these technological tweaks is that the car can effortlessly adapt to road conditions and the torque is varied accordingly between the front and rear axles and the rear wheels as well.

The exterior of the car has been thoughtfully sculpted so that the eye catching details stand out clearly. The enhanced chassis places greater emphasis on the rear axles. Special attention has been paid to reduce noise and vibration as much as possible. The ESP software has been especially helpful in adjusting to the understeer tendencies. It embodies OPC specific dynamics so that the car can easily adapt to a variety of driving conditions.

The interior of the Opel is a study in Motorsports ambience. The Recaro performance seats are stylish and you have the option of having them in leather and with a memory function. The instrument panel has been designed with flair where a variety of information are displayed. The 8 inch readout display even delivers such information as oil pressure and temperature, battery voltage, throttle position, brake power etc. the new performance steering wheel comes with shift levers and can be extremely efficient.
